a brief on

contact

Riku Kawasaki is a multi-disciplinary designer based out of New York City with extensive experience in design practices ranging from digital graphics to full-scale physical installment projects.

Kawasaki refrains from defining a personal style, as he believes categorizing himself to a single style only works to limit creativity. Thematically, much of his work is derived from unique concepts such as deconstructivism and maximalism, but overall embody the aesthetic attitude of organized chaos. This is defined by Kawasaki as a conceptual design approach that harnesses the unknown and accentuates on creative adaptability, while maintaining a pragmatic sense of structure. This unshackled creativity acts as the foundation for Kawasaki's experimental approach to his work.

As a designer, Kawasaki's goal is to deliver innovative and dynamic design solutions that balance aesthetic and function. Additionally, Kawasaki's strengths lie in digital graphics (2D + 3D), branding identity, and typographic design. In addition to digital works, Kawasaki has experience in constructing physical pieces and installations, and is comfortable working with his hands just as much as he is in front of a computer.

Moving forward with his design career, Kawasaki seeks to establish his own design practice, focusing on creative design solutions that turn pure ideas into functional realities.
